POST RI invites you to “Tracing Multiculturalism in Cyprus: A Historical Tour of Nicosia”

Come and join us at our first event under  the ‘Tours for Peace’ project and spend your Saturday ‘rediscovering’ your capital city!

POST Research Institute, in cooperation with the Cypriot Teachers Platform of United Cyprus (Greek Cypriot Section) is implementing a project entitled “Tours for Peace”. As a part of this project, we are delighted to invite you to our first tour in Nicosia. The tour will involve the visiting of key historical places in both the northern and southern parts of the capital, where our experienced guides will highlight fascinating details that many of us have been failing to see whilst walking through this impressive city.

The common language of these tour will be in English, however translation into Turkish and Greek will be provided.

15th January 2011, Saturday @ 10.00 – 16.00 (Please note that lunch will be provided)

Meeting point will be the Lokmacı/Ledra Street Checkpoint – northern part of Nicosia @ 10.00.

Places are limited, so please register your participation by Wednesday 12 January 2011 until 16.00.

Please note that priority will be given to history teachers.

This project is being funded by the UNDP-ACT/ USAID through the “ENGAGE” project, which is being executed by the NGO Support Centre and The Management Centre.
