Come join us at our second event under the “Tours for Peace” project and spend your Saturday taking a “journey” into the captivating city of Famagusta!

POST Research Institute, in cooperation with the Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot Teachers’ Platform “United Cyprus” (Greek Cypriot Section) is implementing a project entitled “Tours for Peace”. As a part of this project, we are delighted to invite you to our second tour, which will take place in the historical walled city of Famagusta.

This tour aims at taking participants into a historical and cultural journey of Famagusta, focusing on the multicultural aspects of this fascinating city. The stories and information provided by our experienced guide will bring alive the renowned historical sights of Famagusta and allow participants to be taken back in history!

The common language of this tour will be in English. However, translation into Turkish and Greek will be provided if required.

Please note that places are limited and priority will be given to teachers, in particular to history teachers, as well as those participants who attended our first tour.

Saturday, 5th February 2011 @ 09.00 – 17.00 (Please note that lunch will be provided)

Please register by Wednesday, 2 February 2011 until 16.00, providing your full name, contact details and occupation.

Meeting point will be at the Ledra Palace Checkpoint – northern part of Nicosia @ 09.00am.

Please ensure that you arrive on time, as the bus will leave promptly at 09.15. We will arrive back in Nicosia at 17.00.

This project is being funded by the UNDP-ACT/ USAID through the “ENGAGE” project, which is being executed by the NGO Support Centre and The Management Centre.
