“Together we explore Diversity”

Join us in celebrating the multicultural and diverse character of Cyprus in the heart of Nicosia.

On Saturday, 19th March from 11.00 till 18.00, a festival, full of music, photography and distribution of informative material about Diversity and Volunteerism at ‘Peace’ Hall, will be held at the end of Ledra street. At 15.00, we are taking part in a walk across the historical centre of Nicosia. We will explore and take pictures of our views of Nicosia across the divide and share our stories.

Main features of the day:

-Photo story tour across Nicosia starting at 15.00 from the ‘Peace’ Hall. We will explore Nicosia’s historic centre across the divide, under the guidance
of Dr. Peter Rutkoff, Chair of American Studies, Kenyon College. Through the lens of a camera we will capture our views of the city and develop our
stories. This event is implemented in collaboration with the Association for Historical Dialogue & Research (AHDR) & POST Research Institute.

-Photography and poster exhibition about Diversity, in cooperation with the Agioi Omologites Cultural Centre and the Department of Multimedia and Design
of University of Nicosia.
-Informative materials about NGO’s.
-Music by DJ Tony.

Tip: Don’t forget your cameras!Any types of camera are welcomed!

Don’t forget your ID, since the tour will take place in both sides of Nicosia!

The festival is part of the project ‘Celebrating Diversity and Volunteerism across Cyprus’, implemented by the Cyprus – Turkish Association of Managers and the NGO Support Centre and funded by the European Commission.
