POST Research Institute (POSTRI) in cooperation with Enorasis Socio-Cultural Club is delighted to be hosting a public film screening in Cyprus of the Vagina Monologues. Based on author Eve Ensler’s vagina interviews conducted with over 200 women from all around the world, this hilariously witty and moving collection of tales gives voice to a collection of poignant, brave and thoroughly human stories. Each monologue relates to some aspect of the vagina, revealing real women’s stories of intimacy, vulnerability and sexual self-discovery.

The theatre performance of The Vagina Monologues, debuted off Broadway in 1996 and has become a global pheno-mena ever since, with production in countries all over the world. It has been translated into 14 languages and performed in over 30 countries. Now the intimacy of Eve Ensler’s original show has been lovingly brought to the screen.

Το Ινστιτούτο Έρευνας POSTRI σε συνεργασία με τον κοινωνικο-πολιτιστικό όμιλο ΕΝΟΡΑΣΗ έχουν την χαρά να φιλοξενήσουν δημόσια προβολή της ταινίας ΟΙ ΜΟΝΟΛΟΓΟΙ ΤΟΥ ΚΟΛΠΟΥ (The Vagina Monologues). Βασισμένη στο βιβλίο της Eve Ensler από συνεντεύξεις με 200 γυναίκες απ΄ όλο τον κόσμο, αυτή η συλλογή ξεκαρδιστικά πνευματώδους συλλογής ιστοριών δίνει φωνή σε μια συλλογή από οδυνηρές, γενναίες και ανθρώπινες ιστορίες.

Ο κάθε μονόλογος σχετίζεται σε κάποιο βαθμό με το γυναικείο κόλπο, αποκαλύπτοντας πραγματικές γυναικείες ιστορίες οικειότητας, ευπάθειας και σεξουαλικής αυτο-ανακάλυψης. Η θεατρική παράσταση των Μονολόγων αυτών, που έκαναν το ντεμπούτο τους εκτός ‐Broadway το 1996 αποτέλεσε από τότε ένα παγκόσμιο φαινόμενο, με παραγωγές ανά την υφήλιο. Μεταφράστηκε σε 14 γλώσσες και παίχτηκε σε 30 χώρες. Τώρα η οικειότητα της Eve Ensler αρχικού έργου έχει με αγάπη μεταφερθεί στη μεγάλη οθόνη.

Yazar Eve Ensler’in dünyanın birçok yerinden 200’ün üzerinde kadınla yaptığı vajina mülakatlarını esas alan bu film, etkileyici ve güldürücü ama aynı zamanda keskin ve insani hikayelerden oluşuyor.

Her bir monolog vajinanın bir özelliğini konu alıyor ve monologlar sayesinde gerçek kadınların cinsel yakınlık, savunmasızlık ve cin-sellikte kendini buluş ile ilgili hikayeleri ortaya çıkıyor. Vajina Monologları ilk kez 1996’da sahnelemiş ve o günden beri global bir olay haline gelip 30 ülkede 14 değişik dilde sahneye konmuştur.
