A Day Visit to Morphou Area

Multicultural group of people discovered the natural beauty and historical past of Morphou Area with POSTRI last month in December.

POST RI conducted the excursion under the auspices of its project, Tours for Peace, funded by the European Commission. The tour brought together a multicultural group of people including educators and students from all over Cyprus for a truly dynamic experience. The day began with a visit to the beautifully restored St. Mamas Church, as well as the Nature and Archaeology Museum where the participants had the opportunity to see the fascinating artefacts excavated around the Soli Ruins. The group then headed to the town of Lefka where they had a chance to recharge at a coffee shop and chat with local people. After experiencing the spectacular beauty of Lefka, the group enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Aspava Restaurant, Yedidalga with a wonderful seaview, and then moved on to the final destination, the Ancient City of Soli.

As part of the same project, the POSTRI team will organise a day trip to Larnaca for the first time in January.
