“İlkokul Öğretmenlerinin Eğitimde Toplumsal Cinsiyet Eşitliğine Bakışı”

POST Araştırma Enstitüsü, 17 Aralık Salı günü, saat 14:00’da, Kıbrıs Türk Öğretmenler Sendikası Lokali’nde yapılacak olan basın açıklamasının ardından,  “İlkokul Öğretmenlerinin Eğitimde Toplumsal Cinsiyet Eşitliğine Bakışı”  isimli raporu tanıtmak amacıyla bir sunum gerçekleştirecektir.

Tegiye Birey ve Mehveş Beyidoğlu Önen’in kaleme aldığı rapor, POST Araştırma Enstitüsü ve Kıbrıs Türk Öğretmenler Sendikası (KTOS) işbirliği tarafından uygulanan ve Friedrich Ebert Stuffing tarafından finanse edilen “Toplumsal Cinsiyet ve Barış Eğitimi” projesi kapsamında hazırlanmıştır.

Projenin amacı, barış eğitimi aracılığı ile gelecek nesillerin ve öğretmenlerin/sendikacıların toplumsal cinsiyet farkındalığını artırma çabasına katkıda bulunmaktır. Hazırlanan raporla amaçlanan ise okul sisteminin toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliğini ne derece desteklediğini ve öğretmenlerin bu konu hakkındaki bakış açılarını yapılan anket çalışmaları aracılığı ile ortaya koymaktır.

“Primary School Teachers’ Views on Gender Equality in Education”

On 17th December 2013, Tuesday at 14:00, POST Research Institute (POST RI) will present a study report entitled “Primary School Teachers’ Views on Gender Equality in Education” at the headquarters of Turkish Cypriot Teachers Union (KTOS) in Nicosia.

The report is co-authored by POST RI trainers Tegiye Birey and Mehves Beyidoglu Onen as part of “Gender and Peace Education” Project funded by Friedrich Ebert Stuffing and implemented in cooperation with Turkish Cypriot Teachers Union (KTOS).

The project aims to enhance gender awareness among teachers/unionists and future generations within the scope of peace education. The resultant report seeks to explain the influence of school system on gender equality and presents questionnaire findings investigating teachers’ views on the subject matter.
