Michael Foresti of European Commission speaking about the importance of the centre.

On May 29, 2015 we celebrated the launch of PEC with a great crowd and with the lovely music of Sound Of Thieves.

Based at the premises of POST Research Institute, the Peace Education Centre (PEC) is established together with the Peace Education Library. It offers a wide range of educational and academic resources and a conference room equipped with IT facilities. Along with an adjacent patio and kitchenette, the Centre functions as an attractive place for educational activities and an ideal place for researches, small group meetings, seminars/ workshops and screening sessions.

The aim of the centre is to provide a study space for educators, researchers, interested individuals in the community and lifelong learners. At PEC, one can explore various publications on topics related to Education for a Culture of Peace and get together with other community members in order to exchange knowledge and ideas about relevant issues. In addition to catering for adults, PEC promotes learning opportunities for children through alternative books and participatory activities designed to expand their horizons.
