POST RI at Expo Milan 2015

POST RI was represented at the two-day EYD2015 Civil Society Alliance event “YOU CAN MAKE A CHANGE – Sustainable development 2.0” at Expo Milan 2015.

As United Nations Member States prepare to adopt a new set of Sustainable Development Goals, last week European Civil Society members got together at a series of panel discussions with an aim of working together to make a change for a global sustainable development.

The panel discussions included parallel sessions on various themes such as migration crisis, gender & climate change, role of private sector and local authorities, development education etc. where speakers from EU Commission, local authorities of Milan, CONCORD, international organisations and several NGOs presented their point of view. The presentations were followed by a discussion with the participant NGO representatives resulting in policy recommendations to be presented to EU authorities.
