Invitation for an International Youth Camp in England!

891cc4f3-e49c-4a04-b8e0-4b8c5f21968bThe International Youth Camp “PeaceFest” invites 8 students from Cyprus (4 Greek Cypriot and 4 Turkish Cypriot) between the ages 14-17 to be part of this amazing experience in England!

“PeaceFest” is organised by De Montfort University in cooperation with Erasmus+ and Radical Student Society which invited POST Research Institute to collaborate on the youth camp that will take place between 26th of February and 6th of March 2016 in England.

In this International Youth Camp, same aged students from Italy, Spain, Albania, Malta, Bosnia, Romania, Hungary, Greece and Turkey will join and participate in a series of different workshops on Peace, Conflict and Anti-Racism.

These workshops will be supervised by international group leaders from different disciplines, and techniques such as music, drama, art, digital art, photography and film making will be used. The “PeaceFest” participants will also have the opportunity to present their work in a performance or exhibition within the project.

Apart from the scheduled workshops, external agencies such as Oxfam, the Red Cross, Amnesty International, Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND), Hands off Venezuela will organise sessions for the students in the afternoons. In addition, cultural presentations, film screenings, entertainments and debates will be conducted under the themes of Peace, Solidarity and Anti-Racism in the evenings.

De Montfort University will cover all the costs (travel, accommodation and food) of the students who will be participating at “PeaceFest”’s International Youth Camp.
