Cyprus Team returns home from PeaceFest

Under the supervision of the POST RI youth leaders, nine young Cypriots from both communities participated in the International PeaceFest Winter Camp which took place at three different locations in Gloucester, Bristol and Leicester between the 25th of February and 6th of March 2016.

The multicultural youth camp hosted 80 young participants from 7 different countries including Italy, Spain, Albania, Malta, Bosnia, Romania, Hungary, Wales and England.

The participants had to opportunity to engage in various workshops on music, film making, salsa, skit, educational board games, culture of peace, creative writing, anti-racism and conflict resolution, as well as outdoor activities such as aerial trailing, climbing wall, archery and vertical robe. They also visited the coal mining museum Big Pit and Cardiff Bay.

“PeaceFest” was organised by De Montfort University in collaboration with Erasmus+ and Radical Student Society. The Cypriot participation was organised and supervised by POST RI.
